Restoration and Repair Terms
Payments
Once we have assessed your image an invoice will be raised with our secure payment provider Square.
If you wish to proceed with the work detailed in the invoice then payment should be made. Once payment is made you are agreeing for us to proceed with the work and accept these term and conditions. Cancellations and refund after the payment is made is at our discretion.
We do not process any image without full payment upfront. If you do not wish to proceed with the repair then simply let us know and the invoice will be cancelled. All unpaid invoices are cancelled after 3 months.
Guarantee
Not all images can be restored to perfect quality. If the original image is poorly focused, poorly lit or severely damaged then a full restoration is not always possible. Providing the best quality electronic version of the image will improve the quality of the repaired image.
Refusal to repair
We reserve the right to refuse a project if we believe the result would not be satisfactory.
Prints
Prints are made by an external 3rd party printing lab. Please allow up to 7 days to receive the prints as they are despatched to us for checking before being sent to you.
Postage
We return the images by 1st class post, if you require a tracked and signed return please let us know on your initial contact with us. We cannot be held responsible for any losses or delays by Royal Mail or other delivery courier.
Timescales
We normally complete a restoration within a couple of working days of payment of the invoice. In some cases it may take us longer if we have a large number of images to process.
Copyrighted Images
Any images sent to us must be the legal property of the customer and not be subject to any copyright infringement. If copyright exists on the image or document the customer must obtain consent from the copyright owner. We will not be held liable whatsoever for any action concerning copyright infringement. The images will remain the property of the customer. We will not make any claim to the images and they will not be sold or given to any other person.
Your personal data
We collect your name and address in order to know where to return any images sent to us and any reprints.
We do not pass your details to any third party, except for postal and courier services.
Emails from you are kept for 6 months and then deleted. Invoices and financial records are kept for ten years.
Your images
Images are stored on our secure backup servers that do not have remote access via the internet. We store the images for a period of time so in case of loss of the image we can resend without having to reprocess.
Images are not sent or sold to any third parties except for when a print of the image is required. The image is sent electronically to the printing lab and once printed it is removed from their systems.
We always seek permission before using your image as an example on our website and social media feeds. If you do not wish us to use the image for any reason the simply let us know by replying to the email request we send. If we do not hear from you then we will not use your image for any promotional use.
